The world of Pop Culture has always been my interest. The idea for using pencils for my art occurred to me when I started to use pencils as models for my fashion designs. Once heads were put on them (originally made of wine corks), the “pencil people” and the Pop Culture Pencils were born. They also appear in my "Cubicle Circus", which is a contemporary spin on "Calder's Circus". I have been drawing fashion designs for many years and, on occasion, cartoon characters. This is how I thought of creating "Lady Saga". This comic book character is artistic, in vogue and geared toward the world of fashion. The "Lady Saga" series has had worldwide coverage.
